What this covers

This policy covers the website at software.spencerfields.com. Each application listed on the site has its own privacy policy, published on its own site, covering what that application does with your data. This page covers what this website does.

Who this is

This site is published by Spencer Fields, a sole trader established in the United Kingdom, at Lytchett House, 13 Freeland Park, Wareham Road, Lytchett Matravers, Poole, BH16 6FA. For anything in this policy, write to Apps [at] spencerfields [dot] com.

No analytics, no cookies, no tracking

This website uses no analytics service, sets no cookies and loads no third-party scripts, fonts or images. Every page is self-contained: nothing on it makes a request to anyone other than this server. This is by design, and any change to it would be noted here.

The contact form

If you send a message through the contact form, the following is collected:

• Your name and email address, so the message can be answered.
• The topic you chose and the message you wrote.
• Your IP address, used only for rate limiting (to stop the form being used to send bulk messages). It is stored temporarily and discarded within an hour.

The message is delivered to Apps@spencerfields.com through a Cloudflare Worker relay, with a direct server send as a fallback. The message is read by Spencer Fields and used to reply to you. It is not shared with anyone else, not used for marketing, and not added to any mailing list.

The form also collects a timestamp (when the page was loaded) and checks a hidden field, both to distinguish a message typed by a person from one submitted by a bot. Neither is personal data.

Server access logs

The hosting provider keeps ordinary access logs, which record the IP address, browser identification and pages requested by every visitor. This is standard for any web server and is not something this business reads, analyses or retains beyond the hosting provider's own retention.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR you have rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and portability over personal data held about you.

If you have never sent a message through the contact form, this site holds nothing about you — there is nothing to access, correct or erase. If you have, write to the address above and your message will be deleted, or a copy sent to you, within one month.

If you are in the United Kingdom, you may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Data protection registration

Spencer Fields is registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office as a data controller.

Children

This website is not directed at children. The contact form does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be noted on this page rather than made quietly.
